Learning Is so Fun!

It is only Wednesday and we have already had an awesome week!  I LOVE hands on learning and this week has been full of it!

Today we walked around during Science and noticed real life examples of erosion.  We made a list of questions that will guide our next unit on Earth's systems and erosion and landforms.  They were SUPER engaged and have lots of questions.  They were quite the scientists too with their notebooks taking notes and asking questions.
In writing students are working super hard on editing and revising their writing pieces.  They love using their iPads, working with each other and other student teachers in our classroom.
In reading groups, there are two groups reading the book, Love that Dog.  Students have had a great time trying poetry structures on their own and explaining their pieces to others in our group.
In math small groups, I love when students do the teaching.  They are learning to explain their thinking and really talk about WHY and HOW they solve math problems.

Math is also more fun when you get to play games.  We learned how to play multiplication Battleship last week.  So much fun and such great practice!
Congratulations to our Citizen on the Month, Mae Sprouse!!  You are very deserving and your classmates shared great examples of why they voted for you!
