During math groups, the students LOVE showing their work. This week we worked with rulers to make rectangles and figure out perimeters of these rectangles. The students had so much fun writing on the tables and showing their work. I told them not to try this at home. :)
During reading groups, many students have been working on ways to organize what they've learned from a non-fiction text. We used an app called Popplet to do this. This week they shared their Popplets with their groups! I was very impressed!
Before we start writing our own personal narratives, students have to understand how they will be graded. We spent a lot of time this week grading example personal narratives using the same rubric I will use when grading them.
