We have had so much fun in math this week. Students worked in partners on a math investigative problem that took two days. I was super impressed with how they persevered and didn't give up when it got hard. We worked to "crack a math code". Be sure and ask your child about this and how it helped them understand place value even more.
A couple groups even wanted to share their strategies!
On a side note, last Friday, we met some new friends that are in our school. A couple of these sweet kiddos will be joining us for music. Their teacher, Ms. Edgar, wanted to come introduce them to our class and answer any questions our class had. The whole conversation gave me goosebumps. Your kids are amazing. They were beyond empathetic and kind to this class. We see them throughout the building and our class waves and says hi to them by name. It warms my heart.
You parents are raising some amazing kiddos and I feel so lucky to share my days with them.
